Our 2023 International Women’s Day Lunch was an astounding success. 230 amazing women and men attended our lunch at the beautiful Kirribilli Club where we came together to #embraceequity, acknowledge International Women’s Day and raise money to support women and children escaping domestic violence.

We are pleased to share that we raised almost $65,000! These funds will be directed towards supporting Mary’s House Services to continue to provide quality refuge and services for women and their children escaping domestic violence and abuse.

Jacinta Tynan, our passionate MC guided us throughout the day, Aunty Margret delivered a Welcome to Country which bound us together in gratitude, Zoe Marshall shared her story of survival and Anna Sheppard reminded us of the value of spreading kindness. We’d like to deeply thank Jacinta, Aunty Margret, Zoe and Anna for sharing the day with us.

The Mary’s House community is unique. The heartfelt encouragement and the commitment to our cause from so many people in such diverse ways is extraordinary. Thank you for sharing the day with us and for your very generous help.

Thank you to Bisley Workwear who supported the event, to the Mater Hospital for your ongoing corporate support and to everyone who donated prizes for our raffle and auction, (listed below), those who donated financially, the event suppliers and our many volunteers who made the lunch possible. We would like to particularly thank our photographer, Fine Photography, our videographer from Storyteller ProductionsFlowers by Min for their floral arrangements and Kwik Kopy, North Ryde, who provided us with their services, pro bono. We are so grateful.

Together we are supporting families to be safe, hopeful and empowered to rebuild their lives.

A big thank you to everyone!

Warmest regards

The Mary’s House Services’ Team
