The “Taiwan Charity Concert in Sydney” was held again on Monday 15 July 2024 after a four-years pause. A wonderful charity concert by Taiwanese and local artists, performing orchestral music with Taiwanese characteristics.
At the end of 2019, the Taiwanese community in Sydney jointly successfully held the first event, which was warmly welcomed. After the Covid-19 epidemic, many people are looking forward to the continuation of activities. After nine months of preparation in three cities in Taiwan and Australia, the passionate music from Kaohsiung – Chia Yin Chamber Orchestra launched an Australian city exchange charity tour in July this year. In Sydney (Concert Hall on The Concourse, Chatswood) and Brisbane, they will hold charity concerts with local Australian music elites.
All proceeds from the concert in Sydney will be donated to Mary’s House Service.
Mary’s House CEO, Yvette Vignando and her colleague attended the concert and had a wonderful evening of orchestral music, performed by the talented musicians from Chia Yin Chamber Orchestra.
The Taiwan Charity Concert raised much needed funds for Mary’s House Services, and we are truly grateful. We extend our gratitude to the Distinguished Citizens Society International of Australia and the Co-organisers, the event sponsors and the Taiwanese community for their generosity.
Thank you for caring deeply about the safety of women and children in our community.
