On Thursday 3 April 2025, something truly special happened at Piato Restaurant in McMahons Point. Over long tables filled with conversation and compassion, the inaugural Mary’s Long Lunch took place—an inspiring fundraising event hosted by GT Communications in support of Mary’s House Services.
The brainchild of Gemma Tognini from GT Communications, this event was more than a lunch—it was a powerful demonstration of what happens when community, business, and heart come together for a shared cause. From the very beginning, Gemma’s clients, friends, media contacts, and industry partners rallied behind the idea, throwing their full support behind the inaugural event without hesitation.
Thanks to this overwhelming generosity and enthusiasm, the event sold out and raised vital funds for the women and children supported by Mary’s House Services—helping us continue our mission to provide safety, shelter, and hope for those escaping domestic violence.
The setting at Piato, nestled in the heart of McMahons Point, was the perfect backdrop for the afternoon. Guests enjoyed delicious food, flowing conversation, and a shared sense of purpose. It was a chance not only to raise money, but also to raise awareness—starting important conversations and building momentum for long-term support.
We are deeply grateful to GT Communications for their vision and generosity, and to every person who attended or contributed to the success of the event. Your support means the world to us—and to the women and children we walk alongside every day.
If you couldn’t make it this year—don’t worry. Mary’s Long Lunch will be back in 2026, and we can’t wait to see it grow even bigger and better.
